[GUIDE]WoW Gold Hunter’s Overview of Garrison Outposts
While it is easy to gather WoW gold by staying in your Garrison hub, there is much more to be earned outside of it. This is where the Garrison Outpost system matters. While still part of the Garrison feature, it helps your character even if they are not in their Garrison.
Difference from your WoW gold hunter’s Garrison hub
The first obvious different between World of Warcraft’s Garrison Outposts and the Garrison hub is the location. As the name implies, the outposts are located outside the hub. To be more specific, they are located in the various zones of Draenor. There are four in total, one for each zone, namely Spires of Arak, Gorgrond, Talador and Nagrand.
Another core difference is how buildings are handled. Players cannot construct or level up extra buildings in an outpost. What buildings are available however do give players zone-wide perks. Garrison Outposts also have quests that reward players with gold, items and even Followers.
Saving WoW gold through outposts
Aside from gold, items and Followers, quests from Garrison Outposts can also reward players with unique currency. These are specific to each outpost and are used to buy level two building blueprints in the Garrison hub. With them, you no longer need to buy WoW gold to get blueprints. For example, level two small blueprints can be obtained by finishing the quests from the Talador Outpost. Meanwhile, finishing quests from the Spires of Arak Outpost will give you access to level two medium blueprints for your Garrison. Lastly, completion of the Nagrand Outpost quests will give blueprints for level two large buildings.
Outpost themes and WoW gold
Upon unlocking a Garrison Outpost for any of the four zones, you will be presented with a choice between two themes. This largely determines the building that the outpost will have. Pay important attention to it since you cannot switch to the other outpost until your character hits level 100. And even after you hit level 100, it will not be free. Instead changing your outpost in Nagrand will cost 500 gold. For the three other outposts, the fee is even higher at 5,000 gold.
