WoW Account, Server Transfers, and You
With Legion coming in hot, all is a tussle right now in World of Warcraft. Guilds are moving up and about in other servers, search for competition (or lack thereof), with members following willingly, opting to stay in their old servers, or searching for other pastures entirely. It’s to be expected that, at the dawn of a new expansion, folks move around the servers a lot to find the proper community, guild, or just some new friends in general. It’s always a mix up and things don’t normally ever stay the same.
Some folks have discovered the wonders of RP servers like Argent Dawn where almost all areas and aspects of the game are brimming with life and found much more happiness playing with those kinds of players rather than the serious and casual ones we normally find in “normal”. Some might find the opposite more attractive, opting to server transfer to said normal servers like Tichondrius, Kel’Thuzad, or Stormrage.
It doesn’t matter what you personally like; a great community shift will most likely occur in your server or, for that matter, may already be occurring in response to whatever opportunities or discomforts that people see in the imminent coming of Legion.
But is that worth $25 per character for you and your WoW account?
WoW Account: Server Transferring Expense
Is it worth it? Sure, if you’ve nothing left for you on a server that’s basically dead and you’ve invested a large amount of time on your singular main character, then I’d see this as a no-brainer.
However, if you come from a pretty high population server with multiple characters, tons of WoW gold, WoW gear, and WoW pets, it might be a bit problematic. But it might be worth it depending on what you’re really after when transferring servers. It’s not exactly an easy decision, but sometimes, it’s really for the best. Weigh your options carefully and carry on.
