Upgrading Your WoW Account: Firelands Part 7
WoW Account: Fire Cats and Stunlocks!
You’ve succeeded past Baleroc and improved your WoW account! After the cinematic of the bridge forming, continue on until you enter a large staging area with a could of adds at the very end. Be very careful with the fiery felines because they have this absolutely stupid leap that will stun both of you for a LONG time. There are three of them, so it is possible to be stunlocked indefinitely if you are soloing this and do not have a pet to whittle down the cats. It’s possible to end up getting killed slowly by the other non-cat adds due to this so it is advised that you use caution and burst the cats as fast as possible. There’s a pretty long cast time they do before they leap, giving you enough time to burst at least one of them. You can also stall another quickly if you are able to interrupt it before it casts completely.
Once these adds are down, you will now face Ragnaros’ right-hand man, Majordomo Staghelm. This guy is the same one you encounter back in Alysrazor’s intro. It’s time to bash his face in!
But, first, keep in mind that Staghelm is another boss that is dps dependent like Baleroc if you are soloing this. No amount of guidance will prepare you for his mechanics because the real encounter involves tank switching. Soloing, on the other hand, will require a lot of kiting, avoiding AoEs, and fast dps.
Buy WoW Account: Majordomo Staghelm Mechanics
Majordomo Staghelm first transforms into a fire kitty similar to the ones you just encountered. While he does have a leap, there is no stun, but is replaced with a semi-persistent AoE on the spot you were one when he leaped at you. This will force you to kite away from the position in order to avoid it, of course. But as he attacks you normally, he leaves a debuff on you that makes is attack speed faster and faster for each stack. Since his attacks quickened, so did his cooldown for his leap and, in conjunction, his entire rotation. He’ll eventually become so fast that you will fill the entire courtyard with his perpetual AoE, dooming you if you do not manage to kill him fast enough. Also, for every jump, he leaves and afterimage of himself that isn’t as strong, but if they multiply quickly due to the leaps, can spell doom for you if you don’t take them down at once.
WoW Account: One More To Go!
Kite him starting from the sides of the room, filling them up then just continuing to encircle the room to maximize the time and space required for this fight. The stacks will also fall off eventually so long as isn’t hitting you to refresh them. Warlocks and Hunters can get their pets to taunt for a bit so that the stacks can fall off, but it will require the player to stop attacking so that their pet maintains aggro. They can then just take it back by putting their pet on passive and bursting Staghelm. However, you have to micro your pet in order for it to stay out of the aoes it will leave, of course.
Bottom line, burst Staghelm down and you’ll be soon on your way to the big baddy himself, Ragnaros, and the crowning glory of this raid for your WoW account.
